It has been my privilege to serve as pastor of Soldier Creek Baptist Church for 31 years. I am active in the Capital Baptist Association and I have served as a volunteer chaplain for the Midwest City Fire Department for 18 years. I have 36 years experience as a pastor.

Family: Linda and I will have been married for 40 yrs. on March 28th.

Children: Charles, Jamie, Patrick, and Heather.

Education: B.A. in Ed. UCO in Edmond

M.Div. Southwester Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft. Worth, TX D. Min. Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Kansas City, MO

 

Linda Stewart

Minister of Education

Linda joined the staff of Soldier Creek in December, 1975. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master’s of Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Seminary. Linda collects Coca-Cola memorabilia and enjoys antique shops. She is known as “yo-yo’ when she clowns with the church clown troupe

 

Steve Brown

Ministry Assistant

Steve Brown retired from the USAF this year with over 20 years of service. most of his career was spent right here in Oklahoma. He came to Oklahoma for the firsttime in 1992, joining with conjuration of Soldier Creek Baptist that year and stayed until 1996. In 1997, he returned to Tinker AFB from Kunsan AB, Republic of Korea. In 2001, Steve transferred to Elgin AFB, Fl and stayed there until 2006. After another one-year tour at Kunsan, Steve returned to Tinker AFB to finish out his career. In May of this year, Steve started as Ministry Assistant here at Soldier Creek. He is an active member of First Baptist Church Jones in Jones, Ok. He is thankful to God for the opportunity to join the staff at this church and serve its congregation faithfully.
