Mission Statement

We agree to be a church where every member is called to share God’s love so that all people might receive Jesus as Lord and become a part of His family; growing in faith, experiencing the joy of worship with service to each other and the world

Worship

Loving God and Loving each other is  afocal point of our church and is the theme of our worship. As believers we should worship together, praising God through song, prayer and proclamation of God’s Word.

Worship acknowledges that Jesus Christ is the only way to have a personal and everlasting relationship with the one and only Almighty God.

Bible Study

Our Sunday morning Bible Study is the second focal point of our church and is where we emphasize learning about God and how He works in our lives.  We have a class for every age group with    trained teachers.  Many  of our ministries have begun in one of our classes and have grown to be a church wide emphasis.

However, the main emphasis is  growing in Christ thru Bible Study.  We encourage every member to be involved in our Sunday School.  We also offer spiritual growth

Service

Service is living out our faith and the third focal point of our church.  We desire to show God’s love by being involved wherever He leads us. In addition to the ministries  listed on the other side of this brochure; we are involved in mission trips.  Some of our members are involved in the Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief ministries.

Child Care Ministry

Over thirty-five years ago the members of Soldier Creek established a ChildCareCenter for the purpose of providing working parents with quality care for their children. .

The center is open from 6 am to 6 pm. If you desire more information about our child care center call 732-0406

Opportunities to Serve

“Living the Live of Christ”

Tutoring:  On Tuesday after school we tutor children from SoldierCreek  Elementary School.  We sometimes have 15 to 20 students so you can readily see we are always in need of youth and adults who would like to help children become better students.

Master’s Meal:Each Wednesday night we go downtown to serve hot soup to the homeless that live under the bridges.  This is a new ministry and one that we have found to be rewarding.

Appreciation Lunch to Teachers: Once a month we serve a lunch to the teachers of SoldierCreekElementary School.  We want to show our love and support to our public school teachers.

Care Packages for our Soldiers: Once a month we collect items and put together care packages for soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Currently we are sending about 17 boxes each month.

Medical Clinic: Once every two months we provide a meal to the volunteers at the Bryant Ave. Free Medical Clinic.

Coats and Blankets:  Each year we collect coats and blankets for the BaptistMissionCenter.

Operation Christmas Child: Each year in October we make available shoeboxes to be packed with items for children.  This is a part of Samaritan’s Purse of the Franklin Graham ministries.

Midwest City Employees Luncheon:  Every year we serve a lunch to all city employees.  It is our way of saying “Thanks” for all that they do for our city.

BaptistMissionCenter Food Pantry: Every year  in February we collect food for our BaptistMissionCenter located on Exchange Ave. in Okla.City.

Clown Ministry:  We have a clown ministry that has been making people laugh for over 15 years. We are always looking for people to discover the clown in their hearts.

This is just a brief summary of some of our ministries. We strive to respond as needs arise in our community.  If you would like more information about these ministries just call the church office (732-3235).
